Natural Food Store at Apple Day Again

Saturday 15th October, at Heart, 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Once again apples are the theme for an event at Heart (Bennett Road, Headingley, Leeds, LS6 3HN). Free admission for all. Bring your apples, join in preparation, pulping and juicing, take home some juice. Listen to a talk on cider making, stories for children, live music,  see the magic show and buy apple-related products from stalls.

The Natural Food Store recently marked five years since becoming a community-owned co-operative. As part of the celebrations members and friends enjoyed an open evening on Wednesday 24th October complete with wine, nibbles from the shop and a chance to browse.

It’s five years since we, the members bought the Natural Food Store from Chris and Sue Sharratt. It’s not been an easy five years trading, but we’re alive and kicking and providing an even better service to the community, particularly with our great Wholesense range.

The Natural Food Store offers its customers both specialist and everyday products. Many of our lines are cheaper than you might think and compare favourably with the major supermarkets.

The Natural Food Store has had a long and productive relationship with our fellow co-operative SUMA and this has now meant that the store manager Stuart has been able to negotiate a very good deal indeed on bulk order wholefoods.
